Instead of listening to and addressing the concerns of students and parents about discriminatory treatment of Latin@ youth at the school, administrators have tried to suppress those voices. Several student organizers were removed from school and sent to CCP, a special disciplinary school. This was despite the fact that at least one of them needed ESL classes which are not offered at CCP. In addition, a community outreach worker was fired from his outside contract position after stating publicly what he had witnessed and heard from students and parents.
